An Interview with Fitri Rahman, Representative Speaker (Graduation Ceremony), 4T1 '2013

1. What does being an N(T) student mean to you?
I feel so special and grateful for the presence of the teachers around me to help and guide
me for the past 4 years.

2. Who would you say is your biggest inspiration?
Mdm Fazidah. This is because despite with our class attitude, she still strived on to teach us
regardless.. I really salute her.

3. What advice would you give to your N(T) juniors who are currently in CCSS?
I would advise them to work hard. When most of the juniors meet me in public, they will ask
me how my course is going. I will always tell them that it is not hard when you have the
passion in the course- that’s you just want do your best. The second most important thing is
to come to school regularly. If you have a problem, tell your Form Teacher so they are aware
of your problems. I was an FAS student so when my EZ-link card balance was low I would
inform my FT Mdm Fazidah, Mr Khoo and Mdm Hezrina - and my FT will take note and help
me. They are so concerned about me! That’s why I love them so much. All my NT juniors out
there please take this as an example. I am not being boastful, but its takes two hands to clap.
If you respect and communicate well with your FT, they also will work well with you..

4. Which teacher influenced you the most while you were at CCSS?
All the N(T) teachers who taught me in all my subjects from Sec 1 – 4 – because without them
I would not be able to graduate to my current course in ITE and enjoy exploring my passion in
my course now.

5. How did you ensure that you get good results for your N Levels?
Let me be frank with you, I am a person who is quite distracted in class and I usually do not
study or revise my work daily - but when it comes to exams I will be very serious about my
work. This means that I will not go on social media because I know if I was online I would not
stop. For example watching my Korean dramas, going on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.

6. What is your most treasured memory of being an N(T) student at CCSS?
I enjoyed meeting my friends in the canteen during recess, especially the field trips that were
organised last year for us to the Singapore Museum and Botanic Gardens. I am also very
grateful for the opportunity to go to Vietnam last year on the CIP/VIA trip with Ms Islin, Mdm
Fazidah and Mr Melky – I enjoyed the experience of being on an airplane for the first time!

7. Which N(T) program did you enjoy the most while at CCSS? Why?
I really enjoyed the Vietnam CIP/VIA Trip, the termly birthday celebration, our SPORTS@NT
programs in the indoor sports hall, and the Serve@NT programs where we went to the Simei Gardens as a class to do some community gardening. My favourite, of course, was my Social Entrepreneurship Club events like our Polaroid Booth during Speech Day, and selling tulips for the Children’s Cancer Foundation every year during Valentines Day. For all that, I would like to say hank you to all my N(T) teachers for allowing me to have those opportunities to be an engaged and happy N(T) student!

Best Wishes
Mohd Fitri Rahman
